GLP-1 RA/NAION Litigation Group

GLP-1 RA weight loss drugs have surged in popularity in recent years. Unfortunately, new studies show a link between the use of the weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy and the development of Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION), a devastating injury that results in permanent vision loss.

The GLP-1 RA/NAION Litigation Group provides critical information and materials for AAJ members to organize, educate, and coordinate as they navigate the complexities of this litigation. Initially, the group will educate members about the injury, how to screen cases, and what information to gather during the intake process. As the litigation progresses, members will discuss strategy and processes for selecting potential experts, conducting discovery, and combating defenses such as preemption.

The GLP-1 RA/NAION Litigation Group was formed in May 2025.

The GLP-1 RA/NAION Litigation Group is limited to Regular, Sustaining, Life, and President’s Club Members
